Edda Schliepack

Edda Rosina Schliepack (born April 8, 1940 in Frankfurt / Oder ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After obtaining her university entrance qualification in Berlin, Edda Schliepack spent the years 1959 to 1960 in London . She then studied economics at the TU Berlin and then worked from 1968 to 1969 in a housing construction company as an employee with personnel responsibility. From 1979 to 1986 she worked in adult education.

She joined the CDU in 1974 and was active in the CDU social committees and in the CDU SME association. In the Braunschweig regional association she took over the deputy chairmanship, she also took over the chairmanship of the CDU women's union in the Braunschweig regional association and was a member of the board of the Peiner water supply association. In 1974 she became a council member in the municipality of Vechelde and in the same year a member of the Peiner district assembly.

From June 21, 1986 to June 20, 1994 she was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (11th and 12th electoral terms), and from May 15, 1990 to June 20, 1994 she was the deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group.

She is the widow of the former Vechelder provost Eckhard Schliepack and has a daughter.
