Eddie's Attic

Eddie's Attic is a club in Decatur , Georgia . It was founded in 1992 by Eddie Owen.

The club is a meeting place for musicians; Locals, talented and famous who started their careers in and around Atlanta . Shawn Mullins , Sugarland , Michelle Malone, Justin Bieber , Disappear fear, The Civil Wars

and John Mayer appeared on Eddie's Attic and built their fan base through appearances in Atlanta. Eddie's Attic hosts a biannual $ 1000 award

Songwriting competition, the Eddie's Attic Open Mic Shootout . Past contest winners were John Mayer, Shawn Mullins, Clay Cook, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, Jennifer Daniels, and The Brilliant Inventions .

In March 2002, Eddie Owen sold the business to Todd Van Sickle (the then husband of Sugarland member Jennifer Nettles) who sold the business again to Bob Ephlin in June 2005.

In November 2011, concert promoter Alex Cooley and business partner Dave Mattingly bought Eddie's Attic.
