Early life
Eddie Lacy was born on June 2, 1990 in Gretna, Louisiana. After his parents' home was destroyed in Hurricane Katrina in 2005, his parents moved several times and Lacy eventually finished high school in Geismar , Louisiana .
Career
college
Lacy played college football for the Crimson Tide while studying at the University of Alabama .
NFL
He was selected in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers .
Green Bay Packers
Lacy was used as a starter for the Packers from the start and scored his first touchdown in the first regular season game of the 2013 season . In the second game of the season, on September 15, 2013, he suffered a concussion against the Washington Redskins and was out for several weeks. On October 6, he returned in the game against the Detroit Lions . After the season, he was honored with the NFL Rookie of the Year Award .
Seattle Seahawks
After his contract with the Packers expired, Lacy signed a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks on March 14, 2017 , earning him $ 5.55 million and $ 3 million.
