Eddie Levert
Eddie Levert (* 16th June 1942 in Bessemer , Alabama ) is a US -American Soul musician who primarily as lead singer of The O'Jays became known.
biography
In 1958, Levert was a founding member of the Triumphs, later renamed The O'Jays, and had a number of hits in the 1970s. In addition to his role as lead singer for the band, he was also active as a songwriter for both The O'Jays and other performers.
Levert's sons Gerald and Sean first became known in the 1980s with the R&B band LeVert . Eddie Levert released the album Father and Son with Gerald in 1995 .
