William Edward "Eddie" Royal (born May 21, 1986 in Alexandria , Virginia ) is an American American football player on the position of wide receiver . He played college football for Virginia Tech and was selected in the 2008 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos in the second round as 42nd player. After playing for the San Diego Chargers from 2012 to 2014 , he was active for the Chicago Bears in the National Football League (NFL) until 2016 .
