Edek Bartz
Edek Bartz (* 1946 in Karaganda , Kazakhstan ) is an Austrian cultural worker and cultural manager.
The son of a Polish chemist and a Viennese woman was born in a refugee camp in the Soviet Union . In 1958 he came to Vienna with his mother. With his school friend Albert Misak he formed the Duo Geduldig un Thimann , which was responsible for the cultivation of Yiddish folk music. He worked as a cultural manager for the concert agency Voices of the World , curated the Töne / Gegentöne festival together with Wolfgang Kos , held teaching positions at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and was most recently director of the Viennafair art fair .
