Edelmiro Julián Farrell
Edelmiro Julián Farrell (born February 12, 1887 in Buenos Aires , Argentina , † October 31, 1980 in Buenos Aires) was an Argentine officer and de facto President of Argentina from 1944 to 1946 .
Farrel came to power in the course of the coup of the fascist-oriented GOU ( Grupo de Oficiales Unidos ) on June 4, 1943 against the Castillo government. He showed open sympathy for the Axis Powers , but ultimately had to move closer to the Allies because of the course of the war . However, belonged to Argentina for the last countries which the German Reich the war explained to German possessions confiscated to.
