Edeltraud Kuchtner

Edeltraud Maria Kuchtner (born December 20, 1907 in Munich ; † May 20, 2002 ) was a German politician of the CSU .

Life and work

After graduating from high school , Kuchtner, who is a Roman Catholic , studied law and economics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1926 to 1930 . After her legal clerkship, she worked from 1933 to 1943 as a legal clerk, initially in a law firm and later at Bayerische Hypotheken und Wechselbank . In addition, she studied business administration at the Technical University of Munich in 1941/42 . After many lawyers in the public service had been called up for military service, she was drafted into the city administration in 1943.

After the Second World War , Kuchtner became a legal advisor to the city of Munich, in 1949 she was promoted to senior legal advisor and in 1953 to head of department.

Political party

Kuchtner joined the CSU after the Second World War. Since 1949 she was a board member and legal advisor of the working group of women in the CSU.

MPs

Kuchtner was a member of the German Bundestag from 1953 to 1972.
