Eden Kane (* 29. March 1940 as Richard Graham Sarstedt in Delhi , British India ) is a British singer.
Life
Sarstedt was born in what was then the British colony of India as the son of English colonial officials. As a result of Indian independence, first his father and then his mother moved to England with him and his two brothers in 1954 . Before the family reached England, Richard's father died.
Kane became a teenage idol in the early 1960s , well before his brothers Peter and Robin Sarstedt . With his first single Well I Ask You he reached the top of the British charts in June 1961. Four more top ten hits followed between 1961 and 1964 .
In the 1970s he tried to build a career together with his brothers, but without commercial success. After that, Kane moved to the United States and now lives in Los Angeles , where he still gives concerts.
In 2001 , he played a Starfleet admiral in the final episode of the television series Star Trek: Voyager .
