Edgar Martínez , full name Edgar Leonardo Martínez Fracchia , (born January 26, 1979 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.86 meter tall defensive player Martínez, who was used in December 1999 during the lost relegation against Racing Club de Montevideo and the associated first division relegation on the part of the Rampla Juniors and distinguished himself as a goal scorer, has been in the second division season at least since 2000 Squad of the Uruguayan club. In Apertura and Clausura 2002 he played 23 games in the Segunda División and scored three goals. From the Apertura 2003 up to and including the Clausura 2006 he was active for the Costa Rican club Santos FC . There he was used in at least 70 first division games during this period and scored seven goals. At Apertura 2006, he joined the Montevideo Wanderers . By the end of July 2008 he was under contract with the Montevideans and completed 52 league games in the Primera División across the seasons , in which he hit the opposing goal three times. He then went abroad again and in 2008 was a player for the Colombian club Deportivo Cali . A mission (no goal) in the Copa Mustang II is carried out there for him. In 2009 he chose a career station in China at Chongqing Lifan . In the CSL he ran twelve times. He didn't score a goal. He spent the 2009/10 season in the ranks of the northern Uruguayan first division club Tacuarembó FC . 23 times (no goal) he was placed in the top division of Uruguay that season. This was followed in the 2010/11 season by an engagement with the Montevidean club Central Español, which was also playing in the Primera División . There are six goalless season appearances for him. In June 2011 he moved abroad again and joined the CSD Comunicaciones team in Guatemala . In the 2011/12 season he ran in 20 games (no goal) in the Liga Nacional and five games (no goal) in the Liga Campeones. In 2012 he returned to Uruguay. From February to the end of June 2012 he played two league games (no goal) for third division Uruguay Montevideo FC . Since then he has been under contract with Sud América . For the first division season 2013/14, 17 league games (no goal) are listed in his statistics. In the 2014/15 season he was used 28 times (one goal) in the Primera División. During the 2015/16 season, he made 27 premier league appearances (no goals). In the 2016 season he played 13 times in the league and scored one goal. So far (as of August 7, 2017) he has played four more top division games (no goal) for the club in the current 2017 season.
