Edi Dadić (born December 22, 1993 in Rijeka , Croatia ) is a Croatian cross-country skier .

Career

Dadić competed in junior races until 2012. He ran his first World Cup race in December 2010 in Davos , which he finished classically with 77th place over 5 km. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo , he finished 84th in the sprint and 62nd place over 15 km classic. Since 2011 he has mainly participated in the Balkan Cup. He won his first victory in the Balkan Cup in March 2011 in Pale over 10 km freestyle. In the 2012/13 season he came in third and twice in second place and reached second place in the overall ranking of the Balkan Cup. His best placement at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme was 72nd place in the 30 km skiathlon. In the following season , like in the previous year, he finished second in the overall Balkan Cup ranking. He achieved third place over 10 km freestyle and first place over 5 km freestyle in Mavrovo . His best result at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi was 58th place in the 50 km mass start race. At the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun , he finished 69th in the sprint and 66th in the 15 km freestyle. In March 2015 he came back on the podium in the Balkan Cup with two third places in Mavrovo and at the end of the season 2014/15 he achieved fifth place in the overall standings. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he was third in the Slavic Cup in Štrbské Pleso over 10 km classic and second in the sprint. In the further course of the season he achieved two third and one second place in the Balkan Cup and thus reached ninth place in the overall ranking of the Slavic Cup and fourth place in the overall ranking of the Balkan Cup. In the 2016/17 season he took three wins in the Balkan Cup. In addition, he was three times second and once third and at the end of the season reached third place in the overall standings. At the season highlight of the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti , he finished 68th over 15 km classic and 60th place in the sprint. The following season he achieved fourth place in the overall ranking of the Balkan Cup with three first and two second places. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he finished 69th in the sprint and 53rd in the 15 km freestyle.

In the 2018/19 season he achieved three wins and one second place, second place in the overall ranking of the Balkan Cup. At the season highlight, the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol , he ran 80th place in the sprint and 28th place together with Marko Skender in the team sprint.
