Edin Šarčević

Edin Šarčević (born June 16, 1958 in Sanski Most ) is a Bosnian lawyer .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1977, he studied law from 1978 to 1981 at the Law Faculty of the University of Sarajevo . From 1981 to 1983 he was a journalist, editor and employee in the city council of Sanski Most. From 1984 to 1988 he was editor of Radio Sarajevo's Third Program . After completing his postgraduate studies in 1988 at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade , with a master's degree in law , he was research assistant and senior assistant in the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo from 1988 to 1992 . In 1992 he taught as a visiting professor at the Law Faculty of Helsinki University . After graduating as Dr. jur. In 1992 at the Faculty of Law and Economics at Saarland University , from 1993 to 1999, he was a research assistant at the chair for constitutional and administrative law, environmental, economic and planning law at the Leipzig Faculty of Law ( Christoph Degenhart ). After completing his habilitation in 1999/2002 at the Law Faculty of the University of Leipzig ; Granted the authorization to teach constitutional law and general political theory, international law and European law, he was senior assistant at the Leipzig Faculty of Law from 1999 to 2003. In 2003 he represented the C-4 professorship for public law, international law and European law at the Leipzig Faculty of Law. In 2004 he was appointed adjunct professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Leipzig. Since 2010 he has been the managing director of the regional competence center for public law based in Sarajevo and since 2011 the editor and editor of the journal “Blätter für Public Law”.
