Edina Dobi (born October 22, 1987 in Eger ) is a Hungarian volleyball player .

Career

Dobi started playing volleyball at the age of fourteen. With the Hungarian juniors she took part in the U16 European Championship and the U18 World Championship. In 2008 she began studying at the University of New Orleans and played on the university team of the UN Privateers. In 2010, the middle blocker made her debut in the senior national team . In 2011 she returned to Europe and played one season each for Toulon and Entente Saint-Chamond in the French league . In 2013 Dobi moved to the Belgian first division club Dauphines Charleroi , with whom she became runner-up. She also played with the club in the Challenge Cup . In 2014 Dobi was signed by the German Bundesliga club Rote Raben Vilsbiburg , to which the Hungarian national coach Jan de Brandt also switched.
