Edith Bliss
Edith Bliss (born September 18, 1959 in Brisbane as Eda Bliss, † May 3, 2012 ) was an Australian singer and presenter .
Life
Bliss studied at the University of Queensland before moving to Sydney in 1979 . She worked as a shoe seller. After a casting, she received a contract with Northern Publishing under the direction of Chris Gilbey in the same year and recorded several singles. Their first hit single, If It's Love You Want , was released in 1979 by the Grundy Organization's "GO" record label and was written by Allan Caswell and Brian Caswell , which was in the Australian Top 20 and was featured on the Australian Pop of the 80s Volume 3 sampler : What's my scene is represented. She then released two more singles, Heart of Stone , which reached # 86 on the Australian charts in 1980, and Two Single Beds (EMI) before her debut album Sheer Bliss came out in 1980 . In 1980 she was promoted as a young artist by EMI . In 1980, she began her television career on Australian television with the role of reporter in the children's television series Simon Townsend's Wonder World , and was one of the most popular presenters. In 1984, Bliss and another reporter, Phillip Tanner, reported from Rome for Simon Townsend's Wonder World .
Bliss later married the then Simon Townsend's Wonder World mixer , Mark Tanner, and had four children with him.
