on the right the old church, on the left the new building at right angles

The first church was built in 1597 and consecrated on August 6, 1600. The cornerstone of today's church was laid on July 3, 1696. It was built at right angles to the old church, with its nave becoming today's choir . The old choir on the northwest side now serves as a sacristy . The construction was completed in 1700, on July 4, 1704 the two saints were consecrated . An exterior renovation took place in 1977, and an overall restoration in 2003/4.

inner space

The north-east facing church consists of a two-bay nave with two side chapels. During a renovation in 1947, the altar blocks were removed. In the chapel on the right there is a high baroque clothing figure of Antonius of Padua , on the left a plaster statue of the Virgin Mary from around 1900.

On the occasion of the work in 2003, the statue of the Virgin was also extensively restored. Rising damp, which was reinforced by cement plastering on the walls up to a height of two meters, had created problems for the construction and equipment .

The tower from 1696 stands on the southeast side of the choir. He wears an octagonal pointed helmet over eyelashes . The four bells were cast by the Grassmayr (?) Bell foundry in 1910 .

The high altar dates from around 1700; the altar panel shows the evangelists John and Francis of Assisi . The altars in the side chapels were built between 1710 and 1720.

In the sacristy, nave and choir there are paintings from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, among other things remains of a cycle of apostles have been preserved. The ceiling painting in the middle of the nave is by Johann Jakob Rieg from 1696.
