Edouwe Appin (* 1979 ) is a former Nauruan sprinter . At the 1997 World Championships in Athletics , she participated as the sole representative of their country.

life and career

In the fourth heat over 100 meters Appin finished on August 2, 1997 at the World Championships in the Olympic Stadium in Athens in a time of 14.19 seconds in eighth and last place. Among the 56 participants in the preliminary heats , only Peoria Koshiba from Palau and Tiresa Paselio from Samoan were slower. At the Micronesia Games in August 1998 she won the bronze medal as the third runner in the 4 x 100 meter relay together with Detsalena Olsson , Trudy Duburiya and Joline Harris ; the relay set the national record on this route. In addition, Appin reached the semi-finals at the event over 100 meters and was eliminated over 200 meters in the preliminary run; with the 4 x 400 meter relay she came in fourth place (with four relays). Appin comes from the Anabar district and has been married to Transom Duburiya since May 2002.
