"Billy" Eduard Albert Meier

Eduard Albert Meier (born February 3, 1937 in Bülach ), also Billy Meier or BEAM, is a Swiss farmer. He claims to have encounters with UFOs and their occupants .

Meier is the author of over 45 books and numerous writings. The books and writings deal with topics related to human existence, lifestyle and current problems such as overpopulation on earth. He comes up with a lot of spiritual and philosophical information that he also wants to have gained from the meetings with extraterrestrials. It is claimed that Meier has regular contact with the "Pleiadians / Plejars", a group of extraterrestrials.

In 1975 he founded the FIGU association, the “Free Interest Group for Frontier and Humanities and Ufology Studies” (domiciled in the Semjase Silver Star Center in Hinterschmidrüti in the Zurich Oberland ).

biography

Billy Eduard Albert Meier was born as the second son of seven children to a shoemaker near Zurich. Billy Meier regularly attended school in Switzerland. Before Meier was twenty, he joined the Foreign Legion , but soon left it again because of the inhumanity prevailing there and returned home. He traveled extensively around the world, such as India, the Middle East, Jordan, Persia, with the aim of spiritual exploration. In 1965 Meier lost his left arm in a bus accident in Turkey . In 1966 he met and married a Greek woman with whom he has three biological children. Another biological, disabled child comes from a subsequent second marriage. He has also adopted two children on oath. During his travels and in Switzerland, Meier took on many different professions in order to secure his funding and to be able to continue his travels.

plant

Meier claims to be making transcripts of the conversations he has had with the various extraterrestrial humanoids. Some of these transcripts have been published in German and English. They are called "Contact Reports" and "Contact Notes" (or "Contact Reports"), and there are currently twelve volumes of these alleged reports.

In Meier's discussions will cover the issues of religion and the afterlife about world history , science and astronomical phenomena to technology - and environmental -risks. They are also prophecies of future trends and events in the future. Specific topics include Atlantis , Agharta , astral travel, Bermuda triangle , crystals , crop circles , Greek gods.

contacts

Meier claims to have had his first contacts as a five-year-old in 1942. Until 1964 he claims to have had regular contact with two extraterrestrials. After an eleven-year break, there were again encounters with an extraterrestrial from January 28, 1975. During these contacts, Meier is said to have been instructed to take evidence in the form of photos, sound recordings, metal samples and written notes from the contact discussions and to make it available to the public. A definitive proof of the existence or presence is not wanted by the Pleiades due to the principle of non-interference in the spiritual development of foreign cultures. The contacts were and are supposedly both direct communication and telepathy .

Extraterrestrials

Meier calls the extraterrestrials Pleiadians, Plejars or Errans. Their origins lie predominantly on a planet called Erra, one of four inhabited planets in the Pleiadian solar system called Tayget. Billy Eduard Albert Meier describes the Plejars as humanoids, who are very similar to the appearance of Earth people, with the exception of those who, as members of the Plejar Federation, came from different planets and worlds and who also differed greatly in appearance. The visitors are said to come from a star system between the Pleiades .

Talmud Jmmanuel

Another aspect of Meier's case is the very controversial Talmud Jmmanuel, originally published in 1975 (new translation of the original 2010/2011). The book claims to contain the original teachings and life events of a man named Jmmanuel who would be wrongly called "Jesus Christ". Allegedly it is the translation of ancient Aramaic scrolls that Meier claims to have discovered in a grave cave in Jerusalem with a Greek Orthodox priest named Isa Rashid in 1963. The author of the scrolls is said to be a disciple of Jmmanuel, who was known by the name of Judas Ischkerioth and was wrongly denounced as a traitor. The treason is said to have been committed by a Pharisee son of a similar name, Judas Ishariot. Critics criticize obvious translation errors such as B. that the standard punishment for female offenses in marriage according to the Talmud is 'sterilization', although there is no Aramaic term that could even be interpreted in this direction, as it is a procedure that did not exist until around 1800 Years later it was performed for the first time.

prophet

Meier writes in his work The Truth about the Pleiades that he

  • be the last incarnation of the prophets Enoch , Elijah , Isaiah , Jeremiah , Immanuel and Mohammed ,
  • the only person in the world who has the spiritual maturity for contact with the Pleiades / Pleiades ,
  • met Jmmanuel (alias Jesus) on a journey through time, who certified him to have a higher spiritual development than himself.

His followers call him the "sole prophet of the modern age".

Prophecies

Billy Meier has repeatedly warned of a Third World War, which, if the United States and Israel continued their war crimes and interfered with the policies of other nations, would begin in November 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011 or 2012. Another prophecy in contact report 251 deals with the further long-term course of mankind up to the uninhabitable earth and the migration of mankind to one / several other planets. However, this prophecy is facing massive criticism, as this contact report dates from 1995, while 90% + of these predictions can be found verbatim in Manfred Dimdes 'The Prophecies of Nostradamus - newly deciphered' from 1991 ...

Enemy images

Meier spreads end-of-time scenarios in which a clear distinction is made between good and bad. The Pope , for example, is portrayed as evil , portraying him as a “human slaver, torturer and molester”. The Jews whom he describes with the code word "Gypsies" and whom Meier accuses of wanting to seize world domination also count in his image of the enemy . To this end, they would "commit the worst crimes ruthlessly and unchecked."

reception

Meier's claims have mainly been received by UFO researchers and have usually been rejected. A cultural-scientific study of his religious statements is still pending.

The extraterrestrials are said to have provided Meier with interesting evidence of their existence, evidence that would be unique in this form. Among other things, he was allegedly given samples of metal alloys. These were tested by the chemist Marcel Vogel, who came to the conclusion that no such metal exists today, but there is no supporting background or cross-checking for his test results. M. Vogel's examinations are available as a five-hour video documentation and are commented on personally by him. Vogel explained that the metal disappeared shortly after its investigation, so that further scientific investigation is no longer possible.

These claims are controversial among UFO researchers, who point to proven fake photos and the possibility of replicating small UFO models as evidence of a large-scale fraud. The pro-Meier side argues that no skeptic has so far been able to provide other allegedly "hard" evidence put forward by Meier (the majority of the photos, films, metal samples, the recorded complex whirring noises of the flying objects and the mass of witness statements) refute.

The photos and film recordings

One of the main pillars of Meier's assertions is the large collection of photos.

This contains images of UFOs in rural Swiss surroundings and distant astronomical phenomena. Critics point out that such photos are easy to forge and have provided examples of similar photos that were taken with the same means as Meier had available in the 1970s. The pro-Meier page, on the other hand, refers to Meier's physical constitution (he has only had one arm since an accident in 1965), which makes it impossible for him to handle models without outside help. In over 30 years no person could be found among formerly related “dropouts” who helped Meier with his possible forgeries.

On one of the pictures (Berg Rumlikon, June 14, 1975) a UFO can be seen in which a dirt road is reflected, the distance to the camera of which was determined by on-site investigations to be 200 meters. This suggests an object diameter of around 7 meters. While Meier's supporters claim that it is difficult for such photos to be forged in the existing quality, even with today's possibilities of digital technology, not only UFO skeptics, but also UFO supporters such as Stanton Friedman or Jacques Vallée have called the photos a hoax.

Meier's ex-wife claims to have seen a UFO model, but according to her own statement, in 30 years of marriage she has never received definitive evidence of fakes. O-Ton Kalliope Meier: “You just don't see how he takes the photos. I only saw something here once - as a model. That's all." and "He always believed in it himself". Billy Meier himself says that models made by their children as gifts or that the research team led by Wendelle Stevens made them as objects for comparison.

Some photos are particularly controversial, for example those that are supposed to show the Apollo-Soyuz coupling and time travel. Many were apparently made by photographing science fiction books, paintings, and television programs; for example, Meier's Pleiadian contact "Asket" looks like a dancer on Dean Martin's show . Meier claims that these photos were exchanged by secret services and ended up in his collection in order to bring his UFO case into disrepute.

Meier's relationship with other allegedly contacted people

Meier represents a claim to sole representation in the field of extraterrestrial messages to humanity. Many prominent alleged UFO contacts such as George Adamski , Howard Menger and Rael (Claude Vorilhon) are, according to the discussions with the Plejars recorded in the contact report, swindlers.

Meier also claimed that he was the only human being on earth who had contact with the Plejars (formerly Pleiadians). Critics argue that this negates the contact reports of many others such as Barbara Hand Clow, Jani King, Barbara Marciniak, and "Amorah Quan Yin", who also refer to contacts with the beings of the Pleiades.
