Eduard Brenner (archaeologist)
Eduard Brenner (born January 29, 1877 in Wiesbaden ; † April 3, 1915 in the Carpathian Mountains ) was a German prehistorian .
Eduard Brenner attended the Realgymnasium in Wiesbaden and studied from 1898 in Freiburg, Marburg and Heidelberg, where he received his doctorate in 1908 under Johannes Hoops . In 1907/08 he was assistant at the Historical Museum in Frankfurt , 1908/09 at the Landesmuseum Nassauischer Antiquities in Wiesbaden and from 1909 to 1911 at the Roman-Germanic Central Museum in Mainz . On September 1, 1911, he became director of the State Museum of Nassau Antiquities in Wiesbaden and was busy preparing the new building for the museum.
He fell as a lieutenant and company leader in the First World War .
