Eduard Fischer (born March 20, 1846 in Jechnitz , † December 27, 1933 in Vienna ) was an Austrian Jesuit priest , known nationwide as a people's missionary , religious writer and publicist.

Life

Eduard Fischer was born in 1846 as the son of the bourgeois weaver Anton Fischer and his wife Theresia born. Loos was born in Jechnitz. In 1864 he entered the Jesuit order. He initially worked as an educator in Linz-Freinberg , Mariaschein and Kalksburg , then he worked as a people's missionary. In addition, Father Eduard Fischer was responsible for organizing pastoral care at the newly built Canisius Church in Vienna. From 1899 to 1920 he was editor of the Canisius calendar.
