Eduard Hitzberger

Eduard Hitzberger (* 1955 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian cook , restaurateur and hotelier who worked in Switzerland for a long time .

Hitzberger completed his cooking apprenticeship in Klagenfurt , further stations were in Zürs , Saalbach , in the Weisses Rössl in Sankt Wolfgang in the Salzkammergut and in Velden am Wörther See . Hitzberger gained international experience on a Holland America Line cruise ship in Glücksburg , Arosa , Interlaken and Davos . In October 1981, Hitzberger and his wife took over the Chesa Pirani restaurant in La Punt-Chamues-ch in the Upper Engadin , and since 1988 they have also been running the Krone Landgasthof in the same town. In 1992 Waltraud and Eduard Hitzberger moved to the Hotel Paradies in Ftan, which has been part of Relais & Châteaux since 1986 . 1998, belonging to the Hotel Restaurant La Bellezza with 18 Gault Millau points and 2 Michelin stars awarded from 2000 and the weighted balance of the hotel several times as the best four-star holiday hotel in Switzerland. Since the summer of 2007, Hitzberger has been a consultant for A-Rosa Resorts operated by Horst Rahe in Germany and Austria . In April 2008 he took over the management of the "KAPS" restaurant in the Grand SPA Resort A-ROSA Kitzbühel .
