Eduard Kaempffer (master builder)

Heinrich Wilhelm Theodor Eduard Kaempffer (born June 30, 1827 in Strelitz , † July 14, 1897 in Leipzig ) was a German builder and member of the Reichstag of the German Empire .

Life

Eduard Kaempffer was born as the son of the forester and Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz's chief forester Georg Friedrich August Kaempffer (1796–1873).

Kaempffer worked as a builder in Leipzig. On December 8, 1880, he won a replacement election for the German Progressive Party in the Reichstag constituency of Saxony-Altenburg and was a member of the Reichstag until the end of the legislative period. In the ordinary Reichstag election in October 1881 , he lost the mandate to the free conservative candidate Karl Vogel . On May 22, 1882 Kaempffer again won a replacement election for the Progress Party, this time in the Reichstag constituency of Saxony 7 ( Meißen , Grossenhain , Riesa ), and was a member of the Reichstag until the end of the legislative period in October 1884.

Kaempffer belonged to the left wing of the Progress Party and advocated cooperation with the SPD .
