Eduard Montford

Eduard Montford (born January 23, 1819 in Zell am Harmersbach ; † May 1, 1881 in Bruchsal ; Protestant) was a lawyer and official in the Baden state service since 1851 , comparable to today's district administrator .

Life

Eduard Montford was the son of Karl Montford, accountant of the stoneware factory in Zell am Harmersbach , and Maria Catharina nee Hug.

Montford studied law at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . In 1838 he became a member of the Corps Suevia Freiburg . After passing the first and second state exams , he became an official assessor at the Donaueschingen district office on June 2, 1851 . On June 15, 1856 he was appointed bailiff and provisional board member at the Blumenfeld district office and on July 31, 1857, he was transferred to the Engen district office , where he was promoted to senior bailiff on November 15, 1861. On March 28, 1863, he was appointed senior administrator at the Offenburg district office and on May 23, 1874 city director at the Bruchsal district office .
