Eduard Naumann

Eduard Naumann (born November 28, 1800 in Neustadt (Dosse) , † December 18, 1858 in Freienwalde (Oder) ) was the dike captain of the Oderbruch .

Life

From 1829 to 1831 Naumann was entrusted with the management of the Krossen hydraulic engineering office as construction manager . Afterwards he worked as a road builder in Wittenberg . From 1832 he was back in Krossen, this time as a hydraulic engineering inspector.

In 1840 Naumann became the dike captain of the Oderbruch. In this function, from 1848 on, he was also head of the melioration in Niederoderbruch, for which his predecessor Koppin had drawn up the plans.

In 1855 Naumann was appointed Royal Government and Building Councilor. A year later he resigned from the dike captain's office in order to be able to devote himself entirely to the renovation work.

Eduard Naumann was buried in the Georgenfriedhof in Freienwalde.
