Latypow, although born in Belarus, moved to Russia when he was still young. He contested his first international races at the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2013 in Obertilliach . After he ended up only in midfield in the individual races, he missed his first medal in fourth place with the relay. At the following European Junior Championships in Nové Město na Moravě he won silver with the relay. After winning the bronze medal in sprint and relay at the 2014 Junior Biathlon World Championships in Presque Isle , he succeeded in winning the gold medal a year later at the 2015 Junior World Championships in Minsk in pursuit and relay. Latypow started in the IBU Cup from the 2015/16 season . In the 2017/18 season he stood on the podium for the first time at the sprint in Sjusjøen .
He made his debut in the Biathlon World Cup in the 2018/19 season when he started with a 99th place in the singles in Pokljuka. His best individual result this season was then 15th in the Canmore singles, which was the only time he was able to get into the points. At the end of the season he had 26 points and was 72nd in the overall World Cup. At the Relay World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk , he and his relay partners stood on a World Cup podium for the first time.
In the following season 2019/20 he got his first World Cup points in the sprint with 25th place at the opening weekend in Östersund. Only in the individual in Pokljuka did he get a better place in 24th. In addition, he just missed the podium three times in fourth place with the relay.
