Eduard Tobisch

Eduard Karl Theodor Tobisch (born April 17, 1840 in Prague , † February 7, 1927 in Teplitz ) was an Austrian lawyer and imperial councilor .

Life

Tobisch was born in 1840 as the son of Franz Karl Tobisch (1794–1862) from Meseritz near Kaaden and Ludmilla Drtina (1805–1886) in Prague. His brother Vincenz Tobisch was a mining engineer and manager of the mines in Dux and Johnsdorf. His father was a cousin of the Catholic clergyman Franz Wenzl Tobisch , archdechant in Teplitz and the royal Prussian professor of mathematics, physics, history and French Johann Karl Tobisch in Breslau .

After graduating from high school in Prague and Kadan he studied at the Charles University in Prague Law and received a doctorate iur. After working as an actuary in Kaaden for several years , he was appointed regional judge at the commercial court in Prague in 1887. In 1893 he was promoted to chairman of the arbitral tribunal and president of workers' accident insurance in Bohemia. For his services to the fatherland he was awarded the title Imperial Councilor by Emperor Franz Joseph I. He also received the Golden Cross of Merit with the crown . His request for retirement was granted by the Kaiser in 1900. He then spent his retirement years in Teplitz and died there in 1927.

His marriage to Rosa Emilie Klinger from Kaaden had two sons:
