Edwin Carr Jr.

Edwin Carr ( Edwin William J. Carr Jr .; September 2, 1928 - March 25, 2018 ) was an Australian sprinter .

At the British Empire Games in Auckland in 1950 , he won over 440 yards and with the Australian 4-by-440-yard relay.

In 1952 he reached the quarter-finals at the Olympic Games in Helsinki over 200 m . Over 400 m he was eliminated in the preliminary run as well as in the 4-by-100 and 4-by-400-meter relay as part of the Australian team.

In 1949, 1950 and 1952 he was the Australian champion over 440 yards.

Edwin Carr was the son of sprinter and rugby union player Edwin "Slip" Carr .
