Live and act

Edwin Grünvogel was the son of a forester. He studied at the Technical University of Stuttgart and the University of Tübingen , where he obtained his doctorate in 1913 at the Faculty of Natural Sciences with a thesis on "Geological investigations on the Hohenzollernalb". During the First World War he served as a military geologist in Alsace . He then went to school, where he taught biology and chemistry at the "Latin and Realschule", later Graf-Zeppelin-Gymnasium, in Friedrichshafen , most recently as director of studies .

In addition, Grünvogel wrote essays on the geology of the Lake Constance area and conducted excursions on geological topics, for example as part of the adult education center or for the Association for the History of Lake Constance and its Surroundings . Grünvogel was a member of the board of this association and examined the scientific manuscripts for the writings of the Association for the History of Lake Constance and its Surroundings , for which he was made an honorary member in 1968.
