The Eel River is a right tributary of the Wabash River in the US state of Indiana . The river is 176 km long and drains an area of ​​2,144 km² in northeast Indiana. The mean discharge 11 km above the mouth is 22 m³ / s.

The Eel River rises in Allen County north of the city of Fort Wayne in northeast Indiana. It flows in a west-southwest direction. The towns of Columbia City , South Whitley, North Manchester , Roann, Denver and Mexico lie on its river . In Logansport the Eel River finally flows into the Wabash River.
