Egon Christian Leitner
Egon Christian Leitner (* 1961 in Graz ) is an Austrian philosopher and writer .
Life
Egon Christian Leitner studied philosophy and classical philology and worked in nursing and care for the elderly and as a refugee helper.
About the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu , he published the work Bourdieu's intervening science in 2000 . Handling and 2002 protection and defense. Human life and resistance knowledge from Hesiod to Bourdieu , published by Turia + Kant . 2012 was published in Wieser Verlag with man's heart. Welfare state novel his over 1200 pages comprehensive and from the three volumes you never get me alive , fearless inventory and diaries 2004-2011 existing main work so far .
In 2014, Leitner published conversations under the title On the Merry Future , which he had had over several years with the theologian Adolf Holl and which form the first volume in the series Wegege . In 2015 , discussions with Markus Marterbauer , Friedrich Orter and Werner Vogt followed with the second volume in the series On Helping and Welfare or How to Reinvent Politics .
In 2013 he received the Literature Promotion Prize and in 2016 a literature scholarship from the City of Graz. At the invitation of Klaus Kastberger , he read his text Immer im Krieg at the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize 2020 , for which he was awarded the Kelag Prize.
