The Turia + Kant Publishing is a book publisher mainly humanities literature based in Vienna and Berlin . The owner and publisher is Ingo Vavra, who founded the publishing house in 1988.

The program focuses on psychoanalysis , cultural and human sciences, political theory and philosophy . It includes new discoveries and rediscoveries from German-language and international theoretical literature.

The publishing house publishes, among other things, the German translations of the writings and seminars of the French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan .

The program includes other well-known authors such as Alain Badiou , Homi K. Bhabha , Maurice Blanchot , Judith Butler , Jacques Derrida , Frantz Fanon , Louis-René des Forêts , Philippe Lacoue-Labarthe , Achille Mbembe , Jean-Luc Nancy , Fernando Pessoa , Aníbal Quijano , Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak and Slavoj Žižek .
