Franz Egon Graf von und zu Westerholt and Gysenberg (born August 21, 1844 in Sythen ; † April 9, 1923 at Westerholt Castle ) was a Prussian manor owner and member of parliament.

Von und zu Westerholt und Gysenberg was the son of Friedrich Otto von und zu Westerholt und Gysenberg and his wife Sophie Freiin von Fürstenberg . He was a Catholic denomination.

Von und zu Westerholt and Gysenberg served in the Prussian army and retired as Rittmeister. He lived as entertainer at Westerholt Castle. From 1905 to the November Revolution of 1919, he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of Westphalia for the constituency of Recklinghausen, Recklinghausen-Land. He was also a member of the Prussian manor house and represented conservative positions. His son Egon (1880–1914) lost his life in the First World War . His son Egon (1910–2002) inherited the Westerholt property from his grandfather Franz Egon . He had Westerholt Castle converted into a hotel.
