The former administrative building of the Botanical Garden is a building in Darmstadt .
Architecture and history
The former administrative building of the Botanical Garden was built according to plans by the architecture professor Karl Hofmann . The two-story building in the Wilhelminian style was erected in 1902. The building consists partly of quarry stone masonry and partly of exposed framework . The timber frame is lavishly decorated . The interior of the house is also worth preserving; especially the spiral staircase made of wood .
The former administration building was placed under monument protection as a typical example of the architecture of the 1900s in Darmstadt .
