Coat of arms of those of Eichstedt

Eichstedt is the name of altmärk een Uradelsgeschlechts that a tribe and arms with Rundstedt and Lindstedt and from the same place in the district of Stendal comes.

history

The first known representatives of the family were Hinricus de Ekstede et fratres sui et Tidericus, mentioned in a document in 1163. The Eickstedt also refer to the same first mention , which means that both sexes are also related .

The line of tribe begins with Konrad von Eichstedt, who was mentioned in a document in 1280 and owned several fiefdoms from the Alt and Middle Marks . Under the sons of Lewin Jakob von Eichstedt (1646–1715), heir to Baumgarten and Eichstedt, the sex was divided into two lines.

From the second line, another family of the same name went back to the natural son of the Prussian lieutenant Georg Friedrich von Eichstedt (1723–1757). This Prussian staff captain Friedrich Ludwig von Eichstedt (1752-1802) received on October 24, 1786 the Prussian nobility legitimation from the king. He continued the trunk line.
