He asks the former student Taffin for help, but he refuses the request first.

Later on, Taffin helps his ex-teacher and fights against the factory owners. His friend Charlotte pretends that she is fleeing an attacker; the factory manager takes them in his car. Charlotte later pretends that the man wanted to rape her. After being blackmailed by Taffin, he stops the investment.

Killers are set on Taffin and he overpowers them. Since he is no longer popular in the city, he goes into hiding. Charlotte stands up for her boyfriend and accuses the local residents of being ungrateful.

Reviews

  • "Flimsy constructed and sluggishly staged film that strings together clichés and justifies its violence with social interests." ( Lexicon of international film )
  • The thriller is confusing and not exciting. The character of Mark Taffin is too complex for the limited acting skills of Pierce Brosnan. Some action scenes are effective, but there is no real tension. ( Time Out , London )
