Illuminate

Under obviousness is meant the positioning and focusing of each headlight at a film production or in the theater with the aim of basic light , scene light and effect light set up.

For this purpose, each lamp is individually set to full power ("pulled up") by the lighting master on the lighting mixer and then adjusted according to the instructions of the lighting designer , the director or the cameraman . Headlights mounted overhead can be reached either with mobile scaffolding towers or lifting platforms . If this cannot be used in the stage design , rope ladders can also be used in the truss system . In many theaters, the high-mounted spotlights can also be reached via the catwalk .

The different types of headlights can be changed in their light output by different mechanisms. Lens spotlights can be varied by moving the reflector in the event of a light failure and limited with the help of door panels .

Profile spotlights can be focused precisely with the help of adjustable lenses . With the built-in so-called shutter , it is possible to limit the light failure to square and sharp edges. With the help of PAR spotlights , a horizontal or vertical so-called beam (oval light spot) is generated by turning the burner .

Once the lights have turned on, the headlights are fixed and should not be touched until the film production or the play is running.
