Einsiedel is a hamlet belonging to the municipality of Hafenlohr in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart .

geography

Einsiedel is located in the Spessart in the Hafenlohr valley on the MSP 26 district road between Diana and Lindenfurterhof . As a larger exclave in Fürstlich Löwensteinschen Park, it belongs to the municipality of Hafenlohr.

history

Einsiedel was built in 1275 as the provost of the Neustadt monastery . In 1483 it was converted into a monastery courtyard. After Einsiedel passed to the Princely House of Löwenstein , a glass factory was set up there. The Princely Forestry Office of the Löwenstein Wildlife Park has been located here since 1977 .
