|
Crest Reason: The handle pot is speaking for the place name, which is derived on the one hand by the same name Spessartflüsschen, which flows into the River Main, on the other hand by the least since the early 15th century operated Hafnerei . This trade brought the place an economic boom. The colors indicate the former rulers. The colors red and gold are reminiscent of the Counts of Rieneck , who have been occupied in the municipality since the middle of the 12th century. After the Rieneck-Rothenfels line died out in 1333, the fief fell to the Würzburg monastery . The colors silver and red refer to this. |
