Carlos Aceves was studying in Madrid in 1846 when he received news that the Yankees had overrun the city of Monterrey. Disguised as an old man, he travels to California. When he reaches his hometown, he learns that his father has been arrested by American troops. To free the city and to help the townspeople, he uses the mask of the Lobo Negro (Black Wolf). Little by little he freed his father's friends, who had also been arrested as conspirators. His main opponent is the American Colonel in command. With athleticism and shrewdness he succeeds in defeating the troops; the colonel is being transferred.
