Elatus publishing house

The Elatus Verlag is a German book publisher based in Kaltenkirchen in Schleswig-Holstein . The small publisher specializes in the publication of illustrated books, with the publishing program ranging from picture and children's books to fables and fairy tales to classics and anthologies. The publisher now operates under the company name ELATUS VERLAG GmbH ( own spelling ) in the legal form of a GmbH . Heidrun Redecke is the managing director.

For its picture books , which appear in the Elatus Sausewind series, the publisher mainly publishes original French-language editions in German. Among other things, works by the scenographer Zidrou , the writer Stéphan Lévy-Kuentz , the comic artist Christophe Blain and the illustrators Anne Herbauts , Georges Lemoine and Isabelle Chatellard were published . The German translator Sigrid Plöger took care of the translation of the texts from French into German.

For the rest of the publishing program, the publishing house mostly worked with the French illustrator Yann Wehrling , who illustrated the following books, among others:

In addition, Elatus Verlag published the anthologies Language Short gives the Thought Distance (Editor: Heidrun Redecke, Illustrations: Yann Wehling) and The Seven Deadly Sins? (Editor: Donna Right, Illustrations: Lorenzo Recio).

The publishing house was represented at the Leipzig Book Fair in 1999 and at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2000 .
