Electric City is a city ( city ) in Grant County in the US state of Washington . As of the 2010 United States Census , Electric City had 968 residents. The parish was named for its proximity to the hydroelectric power station at Grand Coulee Dam .

As of the 2010 census , Electric City had 968 residents, 447 households, and 275 families. The population density was 219.8 per km ². There were 524 housing units at an average density of 119 per km².
The population consisted of 86% white , 0.5% African American , 5.2% Indian , 0.4% Asian , 0.9% of other "races" and 7% of two or more "races" . Hispanics or Latinos of "any race" made up 4% of the population.
Of the 447 households, 21.3% were housed by children under the age of 18, 50.1% were managed by married couples living together , 8.9% by single mothers and 2.5% by single fathers; 38.5% were non-families. 33.3% of households were singles and 13.6% were single people over 65 years of age. The average household size was 2.17 and the average family size was 2.71 people.
The median age in the city was 50.5 years. 18.3% of the population were under 18, 5% between 18 and 24, 18.1% between 25 and 44, 36.4% between 45 and 64 and 22.2 65 years or older. 49.7% of the population were men and 50.3% women.

The population was 89.59% White , 0.22% African American , 7.05% Native American , 0.65% Asian , 0.11% Pacific Islander , 0.11% from other "races" and 2.23% from two or more "races" . Hispanics or Latinos of "any race" made up 1.84% of the population.
Of the 382 households, 27% had children under the age of 18, 63.6% were run by married couples living together, and 8.1% by single mothers; 23.8% were non-families. 20.2% of the households were singles and 7.3% were single people over 65 years of age. The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 2.74 people.
The median age in the city was 46 years. 23.1% of the population were under 18, 6.1% between 18 and 24, 18.4% between 25 and 44, 33.9% between 45 and 64 and 18.4 65 years or older. There were 92.9 men for every 100 women, and 95.3 men for every 100 women for over 18-year-olds.
