Jelena Rudolfovna Leonova

Jelena Rudolfowna Leonova ( Russian Елена Рудольфовна Леонова , English transcription Elena Leonova ; born July 12, 1973 in Moscow ) is a former Russian figure skater who started in pair skating.

Together with her former partner Gennadi Krasnizki she became junior world champion in 1986 and 1987. The couple Leonowa / Krasnizki separated despite their successes. Since Jelena Leonova did not find a new partner, she resigned from amateur sports and went to the professionals. First she ran in the show Tatjana Tarasowas . There she met Andrei Chwalko , whom she later married. Leonowa / Chwalko became professional world champions twice. They are known for their spectacular lifting and slinging figures.
