history

A local TV station was to be established in the city of Saale as early as the mid-1990s. The tender at the time was won by the Berlin television broadcaster FAB , which wanted to set up a regional branch of its program in Halle. The project failed, among other things, due to legal disputes over broadcasting licenses of the losing RTL group.

Broadcasting began on April 5, 1998.

TV Halle received criticism when only one recorded special program was broadcast during the flood in 2013 , which was repeated over and over again because a live broadcast was not possible at the time.

The self-produced news and magazines were previously moderated in front of a blue screen and the background, the virtual set, was inserted via the direction with computers. Since September 26, 2016 hello Halle! produced from a real backdrop. The studio and the control room were converted for this during the 2016 summer tour . The moderators now moderate with the help of a teleprompter and can move around freely in the studio, discussion groups would also be possible.

program

A magazine ( hello Halle! Or summer tour ) is broadcast during the week from 6 p.m. , and the news ( TV Halle aktuell ) is integrated into it . This is followed by the MZ ticker , in which the headlines of the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung of the next day are presented. Then there is another program that was either produced by TV Halle itself or by a third-party provider (example: Kuno's music magazine ). Then billboards are broadcast until the next full hour.

At the weekend there is a weekly review of the respective magazine . This lasts a little longer than the program during the week because most of the topics are repeated. Then other programs are repeated. The rhythm is always different here, as most programs take longer on weekends.
