About this picture

The organs and thus the decision-makers of the MSA are the assembly and the board. The assembly is composed of 25 voluntary representatives from relevant social groups. These include, for example, representatives of the churches, the Jewish communities and representatives of employers 'and workers' associations. The assembly is assigned the main decision-making authority by the Media Act Saxony-Anhalt (MedienG LSA). The term of office of the current assembly runs until 2021. A three-person board (Markus Kurz, Member of the Bundestag, chairman, Annekatrin Valverde, 1st deputy chairman, Konrad Breitenborn, 2nd deputy chairman), which consists of elected members of the assembly, leads the MSA. The MedienG LSA grants this person a large part of the decision-making authority. He represents the authority in and out of court and is responsible for budget preparation and ongoing program supervision.
