Athletic career

From 1983 at the latest, Hultin played in the women's competition team of the Gothenburg club GAIS and recommended himself in the same year for the national team, for which they first appeared in the 5-0 win over Iceland in August. When Damallsvenskan was introduced in the 1988 season , she and her team reached fifth place in the table and thus missed the finals of the best four clubs just behind Mallbackens IF . For the following season she moved within Gothenburg to runner-up Jitex BK. There she led the team with 25 goals to lead the table at the end of regular time and thus crowned the top scorer ("Skyttedrottningar"). In the final round, Jitex BK was successful against the women from Djurgårdens IF and Malmö FF and won the championship title for the sixth time in the club's history. In the same year, like two years before, she received the award as "Årets Fotbollstjej", the previous award from Diamantbollen as footballer of the year. Later, Kopparberg / Landvetter and IK Zenith can be identified as further stations in their careers.

During her playing days, Hultin played 24 international matches in which she scored six goals. She was part of the team that won the bronze medal at the 1989 European Championship with a 2-1 win over Italy . In the decisive game she was replaced by Anneli Andelén when the score was 0: 1 , Pia Sundhage and Helen Johansson turned the game in favor of the Scandinavians.
