Eleonora Vardanian (* 1998 in Armenia ), also known as Elly V and Elly Nora , is an Armenian- Austrian singer .

Life

Eleonora Vardanian came to Austria with her parents from Armenia at the age of nine months. She has lived with her family in Großau (Bad Vöslau municipality) since 2000 and attended grammar school in Bad Vöslau / Gainfarn . She is a student at the Bad Vöslau music school, learned piano from 2004 and singing with Isabella Maierhofer since 2011. In 2012 and 2014 she won the state prize at the Prima la musica competition , and in 2014 she won first prize at the national competition. In 2013 she won the Austrian singing competition The Voice as the youngest participant among 380 singers . In 2015 she was a candidate for The Voice of Germany and left shortly before the final live broadcasts.

On February 12, 2016 she took part in the Austrian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song I'll Be Around , reached the final round and came second after Zoë Straub .

At the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 she was a member of the five-person Austrian jury.

She speaks five languages, three of which are fluent.
