Eleonore Schneider

Eleonore Schneider (born May 17, 1907 in Berlin ; † September 17, 1982 ibid), née Kasna , was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and accomplishments

Eleonore Kasna attended a Lyceum and the Realgymnasium of the Ursulines . Then she attended a commercial college . Her husband died in 1937. She worked as a property manager and accountant .

After the Second World War , Eleonore Schneider joined the CDU in 1945. In the Berlin election in 1950 she was elected to the district assembly of the Reinickendorf district. In the following election in 1954 she was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives, to which she then belonged until 1975. From 1967 to 1975 she was a member of the Presidium of the House of Representatives.

Eleonore Schneider was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon in 1968 , and in 1976 she was awarded the honor of the City Elder of Berlin . After her death she was given a grave of honor in the Hermsdorf cemetery .
