Elfi Jantzen (born January 30, 1954 in Wellerode ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) in Berlin .

biography

Elfi Jantzen passed her Abitur in 1972 and then studied at the Berlin- Lankwitz University of Education. After passing the second state examination in 1980, she worked as a teacher until 1985 .

politics

Jantzen joined the Alternative List in 1989 and joined Alliance 90 / The Greens with it. From 1992 to 1995 she was a district councilor in the Charlottenburg district , from 1995 to 2011 she was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives on the state list of her party . From 2004 to 2006 she was deputy chairman of her group. Since 2006 she has been the spokesperson for child and family policy for the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group in the House of Representatives.

Jantzen ran for the election of the district assembly in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district on September 18, 2011 as district mayor for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen. Since October 27, 2011 she has been city councilor for youth, family, school, sport and the environment in the district office of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in Berlin. For health reasons she had to give up the post in April 2016, her successor was Oliver Schruoffeneger .
