Elfriede Döler

Elfriede Döler (born Meinecke, born April 7, 1909 in Hanover ; † January 3, 1994 there ) was a German local politician .

Life

Elfriede Meinecke, born in the Hanover of the German Empire , worked for a long time as an office worker.

After the end of National Socialism and World War II , she was on October 13, 1946 a member of the council group of the Social Democratic Party of Germany in Hanover until October 31, 1972. During this time she was among other things

  • 1949–1972 member of the social committee;
  • 1954–1972 member of the state advisory board at the Lower Saxony Ministry for Expellees and Refugees, temporarily as deputy chairwoman; Here, Elfriede's main focus was on caring for war victims and, above all, caring for the bereaved;
  • 1964–1972 member of the health committee;
  • 1965–1972 member of the youth welfare committee; and
  • 1968–1972 member of the administrative committee, there at the same time deputy to Mayor August Holweg .

Honors

  • In 1964 Elfriede Döler was awarded the Hanover City Council's Ring of Honor.
  • In 1969 she was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Lower Saxony Order of Merit .
  • In 2000, Elfriede-Döler-Weg in the Vahrenwald district was named after the local politician.
