The Elgi ( Russian Эльги ; Yakut Эльгэ ) is a left tributary of the Indigirka in the Sakha Republic in eastern Siberia .
The Elgi arises at the confluence of Degdega (24 km) and Kao (13 km). It flows through the Elgi highlands (Эльгинское плоскогорье) in an arc - first to the west, then to the north and finally to the east. After 394 km it meets the upper reaches of the Indigirka. The catchment area of the Elgi covers 68,200 km². The Elgi floods between June and mid-September . 42 km above the mouth, the mean discharge (MQ) is 106 m³ / s. The Elgi is ice-covered between October and the end of May. Larger tributaries of the Elgi are Utatschan , Tobytschan from the left and Ajaba and Bolshoi Selerikan from the right.
