Elijah Osei Sefah Nkansah (* 28. December 1994 in Muncie , Indiana ) is an American American football poker players. He plays the position of tackle for the Houston Texans in the National Football League (NFL).

Career

Nkansah grew up and grew up a baseball fanatic in Mason , Ohio , and played it early in high school . After suffering a baseball injury, he switched to football as a sophomore. However, he made the leap into the school cadre in his senior year. He then received two scholarship offers, from Ohio University and the University of Toledo .

Nkansah attended the University of Toledo from 2013 to 2017, where he played college football for the Toledo Rockets . His first season he sat out as a red shirt , in 2014 he played six games as a substitute offensive lineman. In 2015 he started as the right tackle for the Rockets and was part of an offensive line that only allowed five sacks and was a semi-finalist for the Joe Moore Award . In his penultimate season he played eight games from the start as a right tackle, but missed four games due to injury. In his last season for the Rockets he started all games as a left tackle and was selected for his good performance in the first team All- MAC .

After Nkansah was not selected in the 2018 NFL Draft , the Tennessee Titans signed him . There he did not make it to the main squad and was fired during the final downsizing of the squad. Then the Seattle Seahawks signed him for their Practice Squad . On December 22, 2018, he was promoted to the active squad. He made his NFL debut the following day. He ran on in an offensive play in which he blocked Justin Houston and thus enabled a touchdown. As part of the final squad downsizing before the start of the 2019 regular season, Nkansah was fired. However, he was then accepted into the Practice Squad. He was released on September 7, 2019. Ten days later they reassigned him to the Practice Squad. After his release from the Seahawks, the Houston Texans enlisted Nkansah for their practice squad. On December 28, 2019, he was promoted to the active squad.
